About the Position

We are seeking a dependable Yard Forklift Operator to join our team at a busy building materials yard in Pawleys Island, SC. This role is responsible for safely operating a forklift, loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, and supporting daily yard operations.

This is an outdoor position that requires working in varying weather conditions while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift in an outdoor yard environment.
• Load and unload building materials from delivery trucks and customer vehicles.
• Move, stack, organize, and stage materials throughout the yard.
• Pull orders and prepare materials for customer pickup or delivery.
• Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with inventory organization and general yard duties.
• Collaborate with team members to support daily operational needs.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Experience working in a lumber yard, building materials environment, warehouse, construction supply facility, or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials as required by the position.
• Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and organization.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
