- Monday – Thursday
- Training Requirement:
- Must be willing to train on 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Training will continue until the employee is fully qualified for independent operation
- Duration of training may vary based on production needs and individual progress
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Textile Machine Operator to support manufacturing operations at our Monroe, NC facility. This position is responsible for operating textile production equipment, monitoring quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Paid training will be provided on 1st shift, with the permanent assignment on 2nd shift.
This role is ideal for candidates who are reliable, detail-oriented, and interested in building skills in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate textile manufacturing machinery in accordance with established procedures
- Monitor equipment performance and product quality during production
- Load materials and remove finished product safely and efficiently
- Perform routine checks and basic adjustments to ensure consistent operation
- Identify and report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality defects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety, quality, and production standards
- Accurately complete required production paperwork and documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to safely operate machinery after training
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to train on 1st shift prior to transitioning to 2nd shift
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, or pull materials as required during the production process
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and moving equipment
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Compensation
$16 per hour
