Job Title: Sign Electrician

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC
Pay: $18–$25 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours
Typical Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (based on business needs)
Shift Length: 8-hour shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sign Electrician / Lighting Technician to support the installation, service, troubleshooting, and repair of illuminated commercial signage and lighting systems. This role involves working with LED lighting, channel letters, sign cabinets, and related electrical components in both shop and field environments.

This position is well-suited for individuals with electrical, lighting, or sign industry experience who are comfortable working with tools, electrical systems, and occasional field installations at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair illuminated signs, channel letters, sign cabinets, and LED lighting systems
• Troubleshoot electrical issues including wiring, power supplies, transformers, LEDs, and related components
• Assist with electrical connections for commercial signage and lighting projects
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on existing signage and lighting systems
• Work safely from ladders, lifts, or bucket trucks as required
• Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, measurements, and installation instructions
• Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively
• Collaborate with installers, fabricators, designers, and project teams
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable electrical safety standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Electrical experience required
• Experience in sign electrical work, LED systems, or commercial lighting preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems including wiring, LEDs, and power supplies
• Experience with illuminated signage (channel letters, sign cabinets, etc.) is a plus
• Comfortable working outdoors and at heights when required
• Ability to safely operate ladders, lifts, and standard hand/power tools
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable and able to work full-time Monday–Friday schedule
