Saw Operator

Pay: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Location: West End, NC 27376

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Saw Operator to support the production of structural wood components used in residential and commercial construction. This role involves operating saw equipment to cut lumber accurately and safely while meeting daily production goals in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate manual or automated saw equipment to cut lumber to specified measurements
• Read and accurately use a measuring tape and follow cut lists or work orders
• Inspect materials for quality and report defects or equipment issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with safety guidelines
• Assist with material handling, stacking, and general production tasks as needed
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous saw operator or related manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Work Environment

• Indoor manufacturing facility
• Exposure to machinery, dust, and noise (PPE provided as required)
• Team-oriented production setting
