Pool Cleaning Technician

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC 29579
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, beginning at 8:00 AM and continuing until the assigned pools are completed
Job Type: Full-Time
Weather Schedule: A makeup workday may be scheduled when weather conditions prevent completion of assigned routes.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable Pool Cleaning Technician to provide routine cleaning and maintenance services for residential and commercial swimming pools. This position is responsible for ensuring that assigned pools remain clean, safe, properly balanced, and well-maintained.

The ideal candidate will have experience with pool cleaning, water chemistry, pool equipment, and automated pool systems. Strong customer service and time-management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain residential and commercial swimming pools.
• Skim water surfaces and remove leaves, debris, and other materials.
• Brush pool walls, steps, tiles, and other surfaces.
• Vacuum pools and clean baskets, filters, and surrounding areas.
• Test pool water and adjust chemical levels as needed.
• Perform routine inspections of pumps, filters, heaters, and other pool equipment.
• Identify visible equipment problems, leaks, or water-quality concerns.
• Document completed services and report repair needs to management.
• Maintain pool cleaning tools, equipment, chemicals, and assigned vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding pool conditions and service needs.
• Follow chemical-handling procedures and all applicable safety requirements.
• Stay informed about current pool maintenance techniques and technologies.
• Complete assigned daily routes efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications

• Previous pool cleaning or pool maintenance experience is preferred.
• Experience with pool automation systems is required.
• Knowledge of pool chemicals, water testing, and chemical balancing is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage an assigned service route.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable attendance and attention to detail.
• Ability to work a makeup day when weather affects the regular schedule.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull pool equipment and chemical containers.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, walk, and stand throughout the workday.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, rain, and other changing weather conditions.
• Ability to safely handle pool chemicals while using required personal protective equipment
