Material Handler

Location: Charlotte, NC 28273
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour, based on experience
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler to join a fast-paced warehouse team in Charlotte, NC. This position is primarily responsible for operating a sit-down forklift, moving materials throughout the warehouse, supporting inventory accuracy, and assisting with shipping and receiving operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materials.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and material movements.
• Assist with receiving, shipping, inventory counts, and order preparation.
• Verify product quantities and locations for accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
• Sit-down forklift experience strongly preferred (Hyster Brand)
• Experience with the following equipment is a plus:
  • Stand-Up Reach Truck
  • Electric Pallet Jack (Walkie Rider)
  • Cherry Picker / Order Picker
• Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems preferred.
• Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
