Lumber Picker/Saw Operator

Lumber Picker / Saw Operator (2nd Shift)
Location: Johnsonville, SC 29555
Pay: $18.00–$19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals for a Lumber Picker / Saw Operator position at a lumber manufacturing facility in Johnsonville, SC. This role is responsible for pulling lumber based on customer orders, staging materials for production, and assisting with saw operations as needed.
This is a physically demanding position that requires continuous lifting, carrying, stacking, and moving lumber throughout the shift. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment and performing repetitive physical labor.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Pick and pull lumber according to customer orders and production requirements
  • Move, carry, stack, and organize lumber for processing
  • Stage materials near or on saw equipment for cutting
  • Assist with saw operations while following all safety procedures
  • Verify materials and quantities against work orders
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production goals
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, lumber yards, or material handling is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of lumber materials throughout the shift
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and saw machinery
Requirements
  • Steel-toe boots required
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability to work the assigned 2nd shift schedule
  • Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements
