Light Maintenance/Janitorial

Location: North Myrtle Beach, SC
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Permanent
Schedule: Saturday through Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day with a 1-hour lunch break
Pay: $17.00 per hour, with potential for a raise after 90 days based on performance

Job Overview

An established property management company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for an upscale resort property in North Myrtle Beach. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position and grow into a long-term career based on performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong basic maintenance and handyman skills, along with the ability to keep common areas clean and well-maintained. This position requires someone dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling small repairs, general upkeep, and property cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform small repairs throughout the property as needed

• Patch drywall, repair holes, and complete basic painting tasks

• Handle minor electrical repairs when appropriate

• Diagnose basic HVAC issues and determine when a vendor should be contacted

• Perform general handyman tasks and routine maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, exterior spaces, and pool areas

• Keep outdoor areas free of litter and debris

• Assist with janitorial cleaning duties as needed

• Report larger repair needs or safety concerns to management

• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while working on the property

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, handyman, or property upkeep experience preferred

• Basic knowledge of drywall, painting, electrical repairs, HVAC troubleshooting, and general repairs

• Ability to identify when an outside vendor is needed for repairs

• Janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus

• Must be dependable and able to work the scheduled shift

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work, including access to a vehicle

• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
