Light Maintenance & Janitorial Associate

Location: Pawleys Island, SC
Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday
Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour

Job Summary

An established property management company is seeking a dependable and motivated Light Maintenance & Janitorial Associate to support the upkeep and appearance of multiple residential and commercial properties. This position works closely with management to identify maintenance concerns, perform routine repairs, coordinate with vendors when needed, and ensure properties remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform general property maintenance and minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues involving plumbing, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
• Complete minor electrical repairs, including replacing switches, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Identify HVAC concerns and coordinate with approved vendors when specialized repairs are required.
• Assist with scheduling and communicating with outside contractors for larger maintenance projects.
• Perform janitorial and custodial duties, including:
  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Trash removal
  • Cleaning common areas
  • Maintaining the overall appearance of properties
• Complete routine facility inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with residents, tenants, vendors, and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in property maintenance, facilities maintenance, apartment maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting plumbing, HVAC systems, and minor electrical issues.
• Ability to determine when repairs require vendor or contractor assistance.
• Prior janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Experience working in resorts, apartment communities, hotels, or similar properties is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented.
