Crew Leader – Landscape Installation

Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday through Friday, occasional Saturdays required
Hours: 6:30 AM until finish, with shifts sometimes extending until approximately 6:00 PM
Pay: $19.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Crew Leader – Landscape Installation to oversee landscape installation projects and lead field crews in a fast-paced outdoor environment. This position is responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and supporting installation activities on commercial job sites.
The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and capable of leading crews efficiently while maintaining professionalism, productivity, and a strong commitment to safety.

- Start time: 6:30 AM
- End time varies based on project needs
- Must be available to work overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise landscape installation crews on commercial job sites
- Assist with daily landscape installation tasks, including digging holes and trenches
- Support sod installation, irrigation installation, soil preparation, grading, and general site preparation
- Coordinate crew workflow and daily job assignments
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards
- Train and support crew members on proper procedures, equipment use, and safety practices
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and project timelines are being met
- Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles in clean and working condition
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate material needs as needed
- Maintain professional communication with team members, supervisors, and clients
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in landscaping, construction, or related outdoor work
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of landscape installation practices, irrigation systems, grading, and plant materials preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a physically demanding work environment
- Valid driver’s license required
- Good driving record required
- Must be comfortable driving a company vehicle
- Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, walk, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor throughout the shift
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and landscape installation equipment as required
