Crew Leader – Landscape Installation (1st Shift)

We’re seeking an experienced Crew Leader to oversee landscape installation projects and lead field crews in a fast-paced outdoor environment. This position is responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and supporting installation activities on commercial job sites. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and capable of leading teams efficiently while maintaining professionalism and productivity.

Schedule

• 1st Shift
• Monday – Friday
• Occasional Saturdays required
• 6:30 AM until finish (shifts may extend until approximately 6:00 PM)
• Must be available to work overtime as needed

Pay

• $19.00 – $24.00 per hour
• Based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise landscape installation crews on commercial job sites
• Assist with daily installation activities including:
  • Digging holes and trenches
  • Sod installation
  • Irrigation installation
  • Soil preparation and grading support
  • General site preparation
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards
• Coordinate crew workflow and daily job assignments
• Train and support crew members on proper procedures and safety practices
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and completion timelines
• Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles in clean working condition
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate material needs
• Maintain professional communication with team members and clients
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in landscaping, construction, or related outdoor work
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of landscape installation practices, irrigation systems, grading, and plant materials preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a physically demanding environment
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Good driving record required
• Must be comfortable driving a company vehicle

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, walk, and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be able to perform physically demanding labor throughout the shift
