3rd Shift Stamp Die Setter

Location: Gastonia, NC 28056
Pay: Starting at $17.00/hour (Based on experience)

Shift: Friday – Sunday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Stamp Die Setter to join a growing metal manufacturing team in Gastonia, NC. This role is responsible for setting up, installing, aligning, and adjusting dies on metal stamping presses to ensure safe, efficient production and high-quality parts. The ideal candidate has experience in a metal stamping environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot tooling and equipment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Install, align, and change over dies on stamping presses.
• Set up and adjust tooling to meet production and quality requirements.
• Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments.
• Monitor production runs, troubleshoot tooling issues, and minimize downtime.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and inspect tooling between production runs.
• Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools to verify part specifications.
• Maintain accurate production and setup documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Stamp Die Setter, Die Setter, Tooling Technician, or similar role.
• Experience with metal stamping operations and die changeovers.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Experience with progressive, transfer, or coil-fed dies is preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
• Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment while wearing required PPE.
