Shift: Friday – Sunday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay: Starting at $17.00/hour ( DOE )
Job Overview
We are seeking dependable Hand & Coil Stamping Operators to join a growing metal manufacturing team in Gastonia, NC. This position is responsible for operating hand-fed and coil-fed stamping equipment to produce quality metal components in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality work while meeting production goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate hand-fed and coil-fed stamping presses according to production requirements.
- Load materials, position metal parts, and remove finished components from stamping equipment.
- Monitor machine operation and make minor adjustments as needed.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure finished parts meet quality standards.
- Use basic measuring tools, including tape measures and calipers, to verify specifications.
- Stack, label, and prepare finished products for the next stage of production.
- Report equipment malfunctions, damaged materials, or quality concerns to supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following 5S and safety practices.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with stamping presses, hand-fed equipment, or coil-fed production lines is a plus.
- Ability to read basic work instructions and use measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the shift.
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery while wearing required PPE.
