Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour or higher, based on experience
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Position Overview
A manufacturing facility in Gastonia is seeking an experienced and dependable Door Line Assembler to support daily production operations. This position is responsible for assembling door components, hardware, and related parts according to production instructions, specifications, and quality standards.
The ideal candidate must have at least one year of previous assembly or manufacturing experience. Candidates should be comfortable using basic assembly tools, including drills and screwdrivers, and must have basic knowledge of screw sizes and hardware identification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble door components, hardware, subassemblies, and related parts according to work instructions
- Use drills, screwdrivers, hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and other assembly equipment safely
- Select and identify the correct screws, fasteners, and hardware for each assembly
- Install, align, fasten, and secure components according to production specifications
- Read and follow basic technical drawings, diagrams, measurements, and assembly instructions
- Inspect materials and completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, dimensions, and quality
- Identify and report damaged materials, defective components, or quality concerns
- Meet established production, quality, and efficiency goals
- Retrieve, organize, and stage materials needed for production
- Maintain accurate production documentation when required
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Follow all safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements
- Work cooperatively with team members, leads, supervisors, and quality personnel
- Assist in other production areas as needed
- Work overtime when required by production demands
Minimum Qualifications
- At least one year of recent assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or production experience
- Previous experience using drills, screwdrivers, and other basic hand and power tools
- Basic knowledge of screw sizes, fasteners, and hardware identification
- Ability to select the correct hardware for different assembly tasks
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, measurements, and basic technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, grip, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds safely
- Ability to work around production machinery, tools, noise, and changing temperatures
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
Required Personal Protective Equipment
Employees must wear all required personal protective equipment while working in designated production areas, including:
- Safety glasses
- Steel-toe or safety-toe work boots
- Cut-resistant or protective gloves, depending on the assigned task
- Hearing protection in designated areas
- Additional PPE required by the assignment or facility safety policies
Preferred Skills
- Door, cabinet, metal, mechanical, or component assembly experience
- Experience working in a production-line environment

Compensation
$17 per hour
