1st Shift Door Line Assembler

Door Assembler - 1st Shift

Location: Concord, NC 28027
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Shift: 1st Shift
Assignment Type: Temporary Assignment, approximately 2-4 weeks
Potential Extension: Assignment may be extended based on business needs, attendance, reliability, productivity, and overall work performance.

Position Summary

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused Door Assemblers for a hands-on manufacturing and production assignment in Concord, NC.

This position is ideal for candidates who have previous experience in construction, carpentry, manufacturing, assembly, woodworking, or a similar hands-on trade and are comfortable working with power tools and pneumatic equipment.

Door Assemblers will assist with the production and assembly of door units and related components while following measurements, production specifications, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, using tools throughout the shift, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive physical tasks.

Previous hands-on experience with construction and power tools is required. Experience safely operating a nail gun is strongly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assemble doors, door frames, jambs, trim, and related components according to production specifications.
  • Measure, position, align, and secure materials accurately during the assembly process.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, drills, saws, nail guns, and other production equipment as assigned.
  • Read and follow basic measurements, work instructions, production specifications, and assembly requirements.
  • Inspect materials before assembly for visible defects, damage, or incorrect measurements.
  • Ensure components are properly aligned, secured, and assembled before moving finished products to the next stage of production.
  • Perform basic cutting, fastening, drilling, nailing, fitting, and material preparation.
  • Handle lumber, doors, frames, hardware, and other building materials safely.
  • Maintain production expectations while consistently producing quality work.
  • Perform repetitive assembly duties throughout the scheduled shift.
  • Follow established safety procedures when operating tools and equipment.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment and maintain safe work practices at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation.
  • Remove scrap materials and debris from the work area as needed.
  • Communicate equipment issues, damaged materials, safety concerns, or quality problems to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Work effectively as part of a production team to meet daily manufacturing goals.
  • Follow supervisor instructions and adapt to different assembly or production tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous construction, carpentry, manufacturing, assembly, woodworking, or similar hands-on experience is required.
  • Previous experience using power tools and hand tools is required.
  • Experience safely operating a nail gun or pneumatic fastening equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Ability to work safely around tools, equipment, building materials, and active production areas.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to report to work consistently for the scheduled 6:00 AM start time.
  • Ability to work the full Monday-Friday schedule for the duration of the assignment.
  • Must be able to work independently when necessary and cooperatively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on manufacturing position. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

The position may require:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods during the workday.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, and repetitive movement.
  • Regular use of hands and arms to handle tools, materials, and assembled products.
  • Lifting, carrying, positioning, and maneuvering doors, lumber, frames, and other manufacturing materials as required.
  • Working around power tools, pneumatic equipment, machinery, lumber, and other building materials.
  • Maintaining awareness of surroundings and following established safety procedures throughout the shift.

Team lifting or appropriate material-handling equipment should be used when required by the task or workplace safety procedures.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing and production environment. Employees may work around:

  • Sawdust and other normal manufacturing debris

  • Moving materials and equipment
  • Indoor production areas with varying temperatures
